Sony Clie

Ah... the Sony Clie. It was an awesome PDA, at least for its time.
Sony Cleo with the Case Closed

Let's start with the case
I bought a Dr. Palm metal case that was rock solid. You could put it in your pocket without worrying about keys scratching it. You could drop it without worrying about the screen cracking. You could run it over with a car, without worrying about flattening it. Well, ok, I admit that I didn't try that, but I probably could have.

The Interface
The interface was driven by Palm Graffiti. Once you learned all the shorthand, you could actually type pretty fast.

The Wheel
To scroll through screens with most PDAs, you had to tap an arrow on the scroll bar which was both annoying and slow. Possibly the best feature of the Clie was the wheel on the left side of the case. You could use it to scroll through screens fast or slow.

Memory
The only way to expand that memory was through a Memory Stick slot. I bought a 64MB Memory Stick, which was quite large way back then. Does anybody remember the Memory Stick? Nope.

Stylus and Memory Stick
Cause of Death
The battery eventually would not take a charge. Instead of trying to get a new battery I upgrade to a Palm.
